The body of an unidentified woman was found dumped next to a railway line near Schoemansdal, outside Makhado, on Wednesday afternoon. The police launched a massive manhunt for the killers, but at the time of going to print, no arrests had yet been reported.
The victim was brutally murdered by an unknown number of assailants and police investigators found multiple stab wounds across her body. It did not appear as though she was sexually assaulted as she was fully clothed.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, said that the deceased was in her mid-twenties, of slender build and about 1,2 metres tall. She was wearing blue jeans, pink Puma sneakers, a blue t-shirt with a gold necklace. “We appeal to the public if anyone can assist in information that would lead to the arrest of the murderer or murderers of this woman, to come forward.”
Anyone with information may contact Lt Col Tshililo Ndou on 082-565-7877 or their nearest police station.
