On Wednesday, the 29th of August, St. George’s College revisited their Laerskool Tzaneen Primary opponents for the second round of matches in a two part series between the schools.
Larries were looking for retribution following their defeat the first time round and sure enough, they seemed to have learned from their past mistakes. It was a different team that faced the St George’s boys last week and through their efforts saw the U/11 teams end their matches “Even Stevens” with a one-all draw.
The U/12 hosts did not manage enough oomph however, and fell short of victory to a highly motivated St George’s team by two goals to nil.
In redemption however, the First team manned up to the task and set the records straight by scalping the visitors in a one-nil victory despite the blistering bushveld sun.
