The SAPS in Tzaneen have made another 25 arrests related to various crimes this past week.
The majority of the cases seem to be related to robbery and shoplifting with a total of five people arrested for the latter, two suspects were apprehended for housebreaking and theft and three for common robbery. A single suspect was arrested for carjacking.
One suspect was arrested for suspected stolen property and still one more was apprehended for theft out of motor vehicle (we suspect it may have been related to another remote jamming incident).
Dagga is still on the list of priorities for the police and this week they managed to arrest six people for possession and one for dealing in the banned substance.
Two people were arrested for assault - of which one was for assault common and one for assault with intent to cause grievious bodily harm.
The police rounded off the week's bouquet of crime with the arrest fo a vandal on a charge of malicious damage to property and putting two drunk drivers in cuffs for an all expenses paid weekend in the holding cells.
